Denton County Kids Boost Re-Birth of Roller Hockey in Texas

Lone Star's non-profit youth league gives kids and fans a historic experience in Houston.

North Texas can be extremely proud of the Lone Star Roller Hockey Kids who traveled to Houston to participate in Texas’ historic first rink – vs. – rink games in many years. This game between players from Denton’s Lone Star Indoor Sports, Inc. (Lone Star Rink) and the rink in north Houston not only helped make Texas Roller Hockey bigger, it created experiences that will be with them the rest of their lives. The reward for the challenges they overcame to get there and complete games in spite of injuries, sickness and fierce competition from home-turf defenders was written all over their beaming faces.
